High potential and gifted education
At Bonnells Bay Public School, we believe high potential emerges in many forms. We value and nurture students’ strengths across all backgrounds and identities - including talents grounded in intellectual capability, creativity, leadership, cultural knowledge, community contribution and connection to Country. Through strong partnerships with our Aboriginal community and a commitment to recognising the whole child, we create rich and authentic opportunities for every learner to thrive.
Our High Potential and Gifted Education approach supports students across the four domains of potential:
- Intellectual – advanced reasoning, deep thinking, strong memory, problem-solving, abstract thought and rapid learning
- Creative – originality, imagination, innovation, artistic expression and the ability to generate new ideas
- Social-emotional – leadership, empathy, collaboration, confidence, resilience and strong interpersonal skills
- Physical – coordination, agility, strength, skill development, sporting talent and commitment to physical excellence
